Residential Products
Heat Pumps come in different forms. Most common, but least efficient, are air-to-air heat pumps. More expensive initially, but more powerful, more versatile and with much higher long term cost savings, are the water-to-water heat pumps if a water source is available, or alternatively ground-to-water heat pumps. Ground-to-water (or Ground Source Heat Pumps, GSHP) can be used nearly anywhere, as long as there is access for a drilling machine. In 2007, over 30,000 were inserted in each of Sweden and Germany. In Switzerland, one third of all new houses has a GSHP installed.
